There are only a few things I love more than a good book (let's see wine, chocolate covered strawberries, celebrity gossip..oh yeah and God, family, and friends of course). The other day, I was thinking about the type of books that I'm drawn to. I really don't have one specific genre. I love everything from ChickLit, to Historical Fiction, Young Adult Novels, Spiritual Books...the list continues. You name it and I've read it, and loved it. As I was thinking about the books I've read lately that I just could NOT put down, they all seemed to have one thing in common, a strong, resilient, profound main character, usually a female (girl power). This week I finished the book, Divergent, by Veronica Roth. ADDICTING! I would stay up until 1:00 in the morning, huddled around my little bedside lamp reading chapter after chapter. Luckily this is trilogy (YAY). I can't wait to read the next book, although it's not available until May (sigh). In the meantime, I've got a few books on my nook that I have yet to begin.
